Twisted Timbers in Capon Bridge softly opened in October this year and will be planning their grand opening soon! It is owned & operated by Bryan & Crystal Spaid from High View, WV. They are a local family who also has a father & son family farm operation, Spaid Farm. It is family operated by full-time family volunteers, Crystal’s Mom and niece along with a few part-time volunteers, another niece and family friend. Along with the cafe they both have careers in Winchester, a private sawmill operation on the farm, and a young family they are raising. Twisted Timbers is a micro Café & country store located in the old Greg’s Restaurant building. They serve a few basic breakfast & lunch menu items along with baked goods & beverages. The Fried Bologna BLT and the Grilled Pimento & Bacon sandwiches are their signature lunch items along with the tasty breakfast sandwiches. The country store section holds a variety of local, non local, WV goods, decor, snacks, second had items, and more. They are passionate about supporting other small businesses and promoting them as well! They are big on local honey & syrups therefore you will find those items there for purchase. They have a few of their woodwork items in the cafe/“shop” for sale and plan for more! You will see some of Bryan’s woodworking talent when you look around the place. The live edge bar at the window and the barn door in the kitchen are just a few to mention. Their son, Logan has a few of his wooden items displayed as well, find them on top of the country store shelves. Crystal herself has been dabbling with wood working as well, check out her coat/towel racks & charcuterie boards! Charcuterie is something else they will be offering in the future. For now it’s charcuterie snack cups & boxes. They have a vision of, “keepin’ it country with a twist” and keeping a small town small. They have many plans for the future of the business but it will take time & patience. They are open Th, Fri, Saturdays. Th/Fridays: Grill 7-2 -store/baked goods/beverages 7-3 Saturdays: 8-2 They plan to expand the menu, hours, and days in the future.I
